present for 8 yr old boy?????

Romany4 - you beat me to it, I was just about to post EXACTLY the same thing!! My 8 year old ds is OBSESSED!!

ds1 is 9, but for his birthday (4th july) he wanted dr who stuff, he also wanted money to put towards buying a new bike as he had asked us for one of those big paddling pools (10' metal framed ones) and tickets to see red hot chilli peppers, so most of his freinds and realtives gave him cash or toys r us vouchers and he went and chose a new bike at the weekend. (he also asked for a mobile phone but he didn't get one!)

I couldn't find ANY DR WHO STUFF so I ended up buying a rounders bat and ball and mini world cup football,he's quite sporty I think.Couldn't give cash as his sister was getting a gift and had to get similar.
