I live in SW London, home of the tossy 4x4s that never see a hill or any mud.

It seems to me that these cars are often driven by teeny weeny pinstick women who are married to big rugby player type men. I think it follows that if you are an ickle bickle lollipop of a woman and you are attracted to a huge manly bear of a man that you like to be pwotected by your big man and so you feel the need for the same type of pwotection from your car.

Do you think I am right?

I mean, usually people are attracted to their own physical shape etc aren't they?

Here endeth the poisson psychology.

Jealous? Of looking like a twat?

these pinstick women also tend to have lightened, straight hair (subtly with streaks for movement), full make-up

think they look like twonks to be honest

southeastastra · 12/07/2006 16:21

they should be banned so there! especially people who have to reverse park them and take more than 2 attempts.

southeastastra · 12/07/2006 16:22

oh, unless you have a horse of course

CountessDracula · 12/07/2006 16:22

I did once think about having stickers produced saying "only c**nts drive 4x4s in London" and having a concerted sticker campaign using impossible to remove glue

FairyMum · 12/07/2006 16:22

I agree with the ban, but what about me? I have a tiny car and need at least 10 members from the public around me to help me reverse park?

CountessDracula · 12/07/2006 16:23

Go back to driving school then

But what I really want to know is, is it some weird palaeolithic need to be protected due to being such a twig?

cod what's a rigge rbugger? It either sounds a bit nautical or something relating to rncrophilia...

PMSL at this thread. MN at its witty best..

And I BET at least someone who has posted is a lollipop married to a rugger bugger and proud possessor (under other circs) of a big F orf range rover..

SleepyJess · 12/07/2006 16:36

Oh and it's been proven that men who drive 4 x 4s are suffering from a form of penis envy. It's modern-day freud. It was in my coursework.. Not sure about their female pin stick counterparts tho. Nork envy?

bundle · 12/07/2006 16:36

oh god, fio, you don't have one, do you?

SleepyJess · 12/07/2006 16:37

*necrophilia that should say. [rolls eyes at irony of typing complete bollocks in same sentence as picking cod up on her novelty typos!]

Thomcat · 12/07/2006 16:38

i've got a 4x4, a samall one but it's a 4x4. Live on ouskirts of London, not central though. Certainly not stick thin and deffo not a rugger DH, not even slightly.

suejonez · 12/07/2006 16:39

CD - I have a feeling we live very near each other (detiective work from other threads) and my sister is one of the dreaded 4x4 owner. Yes she is teeny weeny pinstick thin but thats through playing tennis and rowing every day so is not skinny but very toned . Husband is short and slim and don't think he ever played rugby but he is a very similar shape to her.

She rationalises the car due to two big dogs and three children. No comment.

Dogs, rowing and tennis.. A 4 x 4 is the obvious choice...

Thomcat · 12/07/2006 16:41

Can I just ask - what's a monza??????????

Thomcat · 12/07/2006 16:41

LOL Sleepyjess - you have a point on that one, has to be said!

SleepyJess · 12/07/2006 16:42

Ah but he may have wanted it for subconcious penis-related reasons Fio!
