...from October you will have to attend a 20 minute interview if you apply for a first passport?
And in about two years time you will have to attend an interview even for the renewal of a passport.
So I say better get it done now if you can!

crikey my blimmin passport runs out in 3 years, so i guess ill have to go for an interview....blimey..where will you have to go for the interview?

Apparently they are going to open offices around the country for people to attend interviews in.

why? so that means even children? will we have to travel far for interveiws? cant see this taking off to well it takes passport place enough time already to process passports without interveiwing aswel

This is all according to the woman at the post office, btw.
She said to me I was lucky to apply for ds's first passport now as from October I would have had to attend an interview.

thanks, em! hadn't bothered applying for DDs's UK passports. will get theirs now.

it's too late for me - i've only just now applied to naturalise, so i doubt it will be done in time.
