Selling on Gumtree help

I have someone interested in an item I'm selling on Gumtree. The potential buyer has asked me to email my address to him. Is this ok? The Gumtree advice suggests meeting in a neutral place but that won't be possible. What do sellers normally do?

I've sold quite a few bits and pieces on gumtree and buyers he always collected from house. Likewise when I have brought something I've collected from houses. Perhaps make sure someone is at home with you if your not sure Grin

I've sold a few things on gumtree and yes usually the buyer collects from my home address although i have delivered on a few occasions. So far i've not had any problems. If you're worried can you make sure there is someone else there when the buyer comes to collect? One thing to be aware of, especially if the items you're selling are expensive, is dodgy notes so do check they're not fake.

Thanks I will make sure someone is here when he comes. Just felt a bit funny about it esp as he sent me another message less than an hour later as he 'hadn't heard from me' Hmm
