OOh - glad to hear from you. I've been checking the blog and wondered if it had all gone pear-shaped (and thus no recent postings), or if you were having such fun that there was no time to post. Glad all is going well.

Hi dejags, welcome to NZ. There are a couple of us in Christchurch. Although I have seen your name on MN I don't know much about you...I am a sahm (mostly I do work about 8 hours a week on average) with a 21mth old who was born with a couple of complications. at NZ being to remote!!!! Sounds like you are having an amazing time what a wonderful experience.

yawningmonster · 12/07/2006 05:01

BTW can recommend some amazing spots around the south island, it sounds from your blog as though you are quick outdoors orientated family as are we.

dejags · 12/07/2006 21:46

Hi YM

We are in Wanaka at the moment. Sorry, hope I didn't offend with our comment about NZ being remote. We've lived in South Africa for the past two years and I found it difficult being so far away from England, my comment was more related to the fact that I would feel exceptionally far from home.

Incredibly beautiful place though.

When was your DS/DD born - my DS2 is a Sep 04 baby.

NO offence was pulling your leg really. DS is 24 September, Wanaka is absolutely stunning.
