Home made Christmas presents with a difference

We are having a frugal Christmas this year as DH is starting a business, so I have been looking for ideas for homemade presents.
A friend of mine told me yesterday of a wonderful idea she had some years ago. Her father used to do some very long drives for his work. So she recorded the whole of a literary classic he'd never read but had always wanted to (Dante's Divine Comedy, not my first choice, but hey...). She worked at it for months, recording late in the evenings, after work. So he got the yawns on tape as well, but that makes it even lovelier! It was an unforgettable present for him.

Has anybody else made or heard of wonderful presents like this?

My friend made me a DVD of me and my daughter and it's so lovely to watch back! From when she was first born pictures and videos through the stages of her life upto now with a song over that really means a lot to me! Its really the most beautiful present I've ever had and can keep and will make me smile for years to come :)
Just thought I'd share incase someone else may be interested in making one too x

DH and I are both musical (we sing and play quite a few instruments between us) so we made a CD of our favourite Christmas songs a few years back. Went down very well with our family.
