i can smell burning!

have just come downstairs and there is a really strong burning smell and i cant find where it is coming from, have checked round downstairs and cant find anything, getting worried and dont know what to do next any ideas?

unplug everything.

check your fuse box

check that your neighbours aren't having a bonfire

think its coming from outside, just put cat out in got a really strong whiff of it then,

or a bbq

dont think bbq and bonfire are an option as it is peeing it down with rain been in kitchen cant smell it there so its either in living room or outside that bit of house

is there something on a light, i burned a soft toy when it was slightly leaning on a lamp?

definately not pregnant! dp has just told me he heard a load of sirens when i was bathing dd so maybe there has been a fire somewhere think i am going mad i keep going round the house sniffing! he cant smell anything as he got man flu
