A few weeks ago I made a decision to spend less time on Mumsnet and more time doing other stuff (spend time with my DH and children etc etc).
The only way I could do it was go cold turkey and apart from the very occasional lurk and occasional post I was doing really well.
Then a couple of days ago, I had an hour to myself and I thought, "I'll just have a little look, it can't hurt, just a little look". So I looked, I posted. A couple of hours later I looked again to see what developments there were in that conversation ... but got distracted by another topic and posted on that. So the next day I had to check two conversations.
And it has snowballed from there. I am back to checking MN as soon as I wake up in the morning and every spare minute I have.

Is there a Mumsnet Anonymous I can join?
Please help me.

I will be checking this post as soon as I can ...

LOL Ghosty! I have been trying hard too but find myself having a posting splurge every couple of days. Decided to cut down rather than cut it out.

I know the feeling, hon. Nice to see you back though, if that's any comfort.

I know - I know ... it wasn't easy ... I had the shakes and everything .... started baking incessantly to keep me busy and away from the 'pooter .... my family are sick of banana cake now

Why are there people called Alan on the site now btw? And why have you changed to Percival Marina?

Like the unanswered threads, that's just fueling the addiction.

We were all being old geezers for a while, some far more convincingly than others.
You have been sadly missed you know.
