My ds (14mths) has just been spectacularly sick all over/inside dds Fimbles annual. There was no way i could save it, so i've chucked it in the bin. Question is, do i tell her, or not mention it and make out it's lost ???? If i tell her it will mean major tantrums.

Don't mention it. When she asks for it you could tell her then.

But if you try the remaindered bookshops in town you might find a replacement copy for a couple of quid.

I only paid 1.75 for it in the sale. Just hoping i can get another one, as i bought it a while ago.
Chances are she will mention it tonight as she wanted me to read her a story from it

Nah, don't tell her. Why do that if it's only going to cause an upset and probably make her feel angry at her baby bro too? Why don't you tell her it's lost and that you will look for another one for her? I noticed Woolworths have them (if your in the UK that is!).

Thanks Pie and MT2 (yes i'm in u.k). I will pretend it's lost then until i find another one

the book people here had some for £2.99. Has she noticed yet ?

Janh · 25/02/2004 16:29

Oooh, yes, look, nutty - from Book People, only £2.99: Fimbles

nutcracker · 25/02/2004 16:50

Panic over. I got one today from Woolworths for 2.99. She hadn't even noticed it had gone, so i've just put it on the settee where the other one was and she hasn't said a word
Thanks for your help
