Corkage!

The fabulous Pizza Express which we're holding our civil ceremony reception at has agreed that we can bring in all the wine ourselves and they'll just charge us corkage. Anyone know roughly how much that would be? I've never been anywhere that does corkage and they've never done it before so when I asked the manager he said he wasn't sure but we'd sort it out on Friday when dp and I are going in to sort out the final details.

Just want to be prepared - how much would you expect to pay for corkage?

Thanks!

About 50p a bottle? But dh has just said £4 or £5 which seems like a right rip off! I'd go in preparing to bargain no matter what sum he says! Esp if corkage is more than the cost of the wine!

Oh. My. God.... Well the wine's going to be £2.99 a bottle! I was hoping for millions of people to say something like £1, so you've got me worried now.

OK, I'll hope for £1 and aim for less than £3!

Trinityrhino - it's when you can take your own wine to a restaurant but they charge you hopefully a tiny amount for serving it (is what I understand, anyway...)
