I don't know! It was Richard Bacon who admitted taking drugs, do you think they got them muddled up?

hunkermunker · 29/06/2006 22:55

Nude love scenes, apparently.

"He joined Blue Peter in 1980, and shortly afterwards it was revealed in a tabloid newspaper that Peter had previously performed nude love scenes in the adult thriller film The Lifetaker (1975)."

hunkermunker · 29/06/2006 22:55

However, Wikipedia continues thusly:

Although this revelation was an embarrassment to the BBC, they accepted that as he had done this before Blue Peter and probably needed the money he earned, it would not - and did not - affect his tenure on Blue Peter.

Unusually, he did two stints with Blue Peter, being on the team from 1980 until 1984 and again from 1985 to 1986. During his stay with the programme, he became associated with the kind of daredevil stunts previously popularised by John Noakes and these continued in his own spin-off series Duncan Dares. After leaving in 1986, Duncan returned to the stage, most notably in the musical Barnum.

marthamoo · 29/06/2006 22:55

Oh for goodness' sake - haven't we all done nude love scenes in films at some stage in our lives?

MamaG · 29/06/2006 22:56

marthamoo · 29/06/2006 22:59

He's an odd shape, isn't he? Small and wiry. Like an annoying little terrier. Wouldn't pay to see him get his kit off, that's for sure.

MamaG · 29/06/2006 23:00

Yes I think he's leader of the Scouts - saw him do the salute to the scouts in the GAmes. Bless

Blue Peter Trivia - the man who was on with Valerie Singleton, before John Noakes and Peter Purves was also fired as he had an affair!!!! Those were the days when the Beeb actually upheld traditional values. He was very good looking but can't remember his name, just before my time. Although I always though John was brilliant and I got to know Peter personally as he became a neighbour. Really nice guy. Never did get a badge though

marthamoo · 29/06/2006 23:01

Christopher Tracy?

NotAnOtterOnBoard · 29/06/2006 23:03

marthamoo · 29/06/2006 23:03

Clearly, that's why she became such a well-known household name.

dinny · 29/06/2006 23:03

marthamoo · 29/06/2006 23:04
