Over the years we have accummulated a vast collection of books, largely crappy novels, that we never re-read. We have agreed we don't want to keep them when we move into our new house in October so how should we dispose of them?

  • Car boot sales?
  • Second hand book shop?
  • Amazon?
  • Bin them? Although getting money for them is tempting the priority is to get rid of them. Any advice?

Take them to a charity shop

Even if you don't sell them, I wouldn't bin them. Try your local hospital, day centre, hospice, women's refuge, type places first.

How about Bookcrossing? (Bookcrossing: the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise). Good fun, but may not be practical if you do have loads and want to get rid of them asap.

book crossing - have some fun with it!
