Just wondered if anyone had ever watched a chat show like Trisha or Jeremy Kyle and have recognised or knew any of the guests on the show.

most popular show EVER

I was booed off the stage

No but a woman I worked with once proudly announced that her son and daughter in law were on one (can't remember which one).
I think I'd have kept quiet if my family were on.

have seen them, never known anyone on one though, luckily! they are all psycho's and ppl who are unable to talk without a camera and some sort of need for 'fame' (in any shape or form).

A pupil and her family were on once. Another teacher brought in the video. We weren't allowed to watch it in the staff room! All their problems were blamed on the school of course

no put i have met one of the production team and she says the "guests" are pretty hardcore and encouraged to really act up. plus every so often one of them rolls up having spent a fortune on new clothes/hair etc and they make them have a makeunder so they look the part. (I'd love that job!)

I wonder why anyone feels the need to air their problems on TV.

I caught an episode of Trisha on UKTV the other day - I just like it to hear the regional accents - and two of the guests involved in a "love triangle' were very very cleary suffering from drug and psychiatric problems. I felt sorry for these (dumb to be cowed on to appearing in the first place) people and then very angry at Trisha for setting up what amounted to a Victorian Freak Show.
And she's so bossy and all.

And a friend of mine was called in as the Expert on infidelity and unproven paterninty amongst lower socio-ecconomic groups. He was a post grad in Evolutionary Psychology from the LSE and basically he had so say " yes that's right Trisha" when she as good as stated " all our guests are slags and get pregnant by males further up the food chain than their husbands and pass the kids off as their own"

He said he didn't actually spend much time in the Green Room fraternising witht he people he'd just called slappers and that Trisha looks inhuman close up as she wears so much make up.
