"build a beetle" game. Intructions?

OK, it's clearly simple but how do you play this game? Plastic beetles, you throw the dice to get the bits you need. But how do you get the bits?

different numbers equal different parts.
1 = choose a body
2= add the head
3 = a feeler
4 = an eye
5 = a nose
6 = a leg

throw a
1 for a body
2 for a head
3 for a feeler
4 for an eye
5 for a nose
6 for a leg

you have to throw a 1 first to start for the body and then you add on the rest, you can get legs even if you haven't got a head but you obviously can't get head parts until you have a head.

We lost all the bits within about 2 weeks and then I felt duty bound to throw it away

I am quite flexible with the rules when playing with dd - she doesn't have to get the head and body first but just accumnulates little piles of legs till she has something to stick them on. Also, I'd be there for hours if we had to play it properly...

Doesn't take long when you cheat like DS2 (5). He was virtually putting the dice down on the number he wanted.
