Last night I took dd (10) on a 'glow worm walk'. It was brilliant actually, a big group of people from elderly to little children met in a pub car park and then we walked right up on the Downs in the pitch dark to look for glow worms. We had an expert with us who told us all about them and we saw loads of them glowing away. We were out for ages and didn't get back to the pub until well after midnight. I had to hold on to dd to stop her falling on the steep paths as you can't see glow worms if you have torches and it was a real adventure. Or so I thought....
When dd came out of school today I asked her if she'd told her teacher all about our walk and she said "Oh, I forgot". Duh!!!
