Am hopeless. Get too distracted. Never get around to things. Know all the theory (small bites, 15 mins only etc etc) but just never do it.
Lots of excuses.
Think biggest one is I am a bit of a perfectionist, so only wnat to do things when I am sure I can do the '100% right'.

Can't believe how much some folk seem to motor through (work and home).
How do they do it?

Is there any hope, or is a irreversible??

There's no hope. I too know all the theories but a small burst of motoring through leaves me knackered and feeling as though I deserve a break so don't keep up the momentum.

I should be working now and am distracted on here...

no... but I'm going to be one day....

How are some people just SOOOO motivated, all the time?
Some people think I', busy and efficient, but I know I waste so much time. Just can't seem to make myself 'do stuff'

I gave up and just accepted myself for who I am.

NormaSnorks · 23/06/2006 12:29

expat - that's fine, but I WANT to be efficient. I want to use my time sensibly. I want to pack lots into my life before I die, and yet I get to the end of the day and think, "where did that go?"

think its a bit like swans when you see those people sail through - frantic paddling underneath

I do lists, prioritise by !I must do today", "Good to do today" and "Nice to do today" and try to complete all the musts and most of the goods before starting on the nice. If that makes any sense - so today I must sort out tax, be good to get new bank account sorted and be nice to book a haircut (crap examples sorry)

also I think the motivation thing is about taking risks sometimes - doing stuff that you don't do everyday and that you might not like but you'll only know for sure once you try.
