I don't know anyone who'd come to your house, but we went to Alexander Hall in Lombard Street, near Bank recently (it's free to users) and they were v nice

We are in the process of doing that - Had Stonebridge Financial Services before but the guy we were using left and I think they were in Essex or SE London - will try and have a hunt.

Bundle - what do you mean free to users??

free to mortgagees, the mortgage companies pay the commission

Got ya - have told DP - he needs to change over cause his is going variable soon (?? - I have no idea what that means!!) - ill give them a ring.

Wow - this is great seems everytime I want to know something someone else does too and I don't even have to ask!!

twinkie, he's probably been on a fixed rate & now is a good time to reassess whether to take a risk with the markets or opt for another fixed rate, which makes life more predictable but a bit pricier for the privilege.
(we spoke to a lovely lass called Lisa McNeill at Alexander Hall)

Oh right - he's an FX Broker sio should know all about it but seems a bit clueless - makes you wonder who's hands we put our money in!!

We were a bit worried cause I should be able to pay a lump sum off mortgage soon and did not want to be hit with heavy fines for doing so.

Have mailed him and will get him to give them a ring.

Ta - Marz - have checked their website and they have other offices.
