Photocard Driving Licence

I need to apply for a duplicate licence as am no longer in possession of the original. As it was a paper one I now need to convert it to a Photocard. The information on the form , leaflet , DVLA website , advice line is so contradictory that my head is spinning.

I had thought I'd understood that I can take my photo and passport into a certain Post Office branch, and for a £4 fee they would verify my identity, check the forms and send it off with my Birth and Marriage certificates, returning my passport to me. As I now read the form it is unclear whether I need the photo signed separately prior to going to Post Office.

Anyone else had to do this recently ?

you don't need to get your photo signed as your passport acts as a form or verifaction.

thanks , dh thinks I'm losing it and it is really straightforward ! He doesn't reckon I even need to send the certs if they verify my passport at PO ?

Well they sent it off. Apparently should take 2-3 weeks so we'll wait and see....
