Googlemail through outlook - help

Not used to either system... I am opening my googlemail through outlook, but emails with attachments don't seem to be going through to outlook, just into google proper.

What am I doing wrong?

My gmail is coming through ok but then I haven't had anything with an attachment.

Do you want to try sending me something with an attachment on. If/when I get it I can check my settings and compare them to yours IYSWIM.

Received via Outlook. Has an attachment but I can't read it. Came through as Testing.docx so I don't know if the name changed the format a bit.

Hmmm... I sent a word file.

I found out tonight that I had an email from 2 days ago that I didn't recieve too :(

Got a mate who knows all things computers - think I'll hassle him tomorrow

Check your googlemail settings.

Hang on a sec, I will check mine and then tell you what they are set at.

In Settings, Forwarding & POP, make sure you have POP enabled.

Can't see anything else on there that should matter.

I can't actually see anything that would only stop attachments but let others through.

If I think of anything I will post here or mail you.

Its very odd! I think pop was already enabled, but I've unset and reset - I'll go email myself some attachments now
