vinyl in pushchairs

why dont pushchair makers no longer put vinyl seats in pushchairs they was so easy to wipe clean in the 70s and 80s it was mostly vinyl seats in pushchairs even some buggys ( deckchair seat type ) they was much easy to keep clean now with these modern fabrics it seems harder keep the pushchair looking nice children have got eat havent they hence the pushchair looks gruby after say 12mths does any 1 no were i can get a pushchair linner thats vinyl stuff thanks

Probably to do with worries about over heating and more complicated styling. Also after a while the vinyl cracks, especially if cleaned with something like an antibacterial spray which I guess were less used back then. Wonder if the foam padding used then beneath the vinyl complies with current regulations for fire safety etc.

get a buggy with removable seat which can go in the wash. always keeps mine looking nice.
