RIght beside our car in the Parent and Toddler area there was a car parked.
There was a small boy hanging out the window (which was half rolled down so he was hanging over the glass)
Inside the car was a small girl (crying), a toddler and a baby.
4 children under 5 left alone in the car. Where were the parents?
She came out a few minutes later with a couple of pot noodles and a ready meal.
You know those moments when you feel like the worst parent in the world? Just think of that woman!!

Well said!

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:23

she wasnt shouting

ArseBiscuits · 18/06/2006 21:26

Damn, I've been spotted!

I'ts OK cause little Petrol who you saw climbing out of the window has his gymnastics badge, h'ed have been just fine. Anyhow they've had their pot noodles now and are sitting watching Little Britain, the BBC don't half make some great TV progs to boost the little ones' vocabulary.

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:28

have you given the baby his swizzle?

ArseBiscuits · 18/06/2006 21:29

Keeping the swizzle for tomorrow, don't want to spoil im with too much good food now.

That was a crackin' ready meal by the way.

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:31

figured out when the twins are due yet?

ArseBiscuits · 18/06/2006 21:33

Twins! Shock Thought it was just indigestion! Thanks for warning me.

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:35

Its my eldest told me - said he'd been fighting ...there's more than just him layin claim to them - you cheeky thing.

ArseBiscuits · 18/06/2006 21:36

Remind me how twins appen again?

Blossomhill · 18/06/2006 21:37

No excuse for this at all. Poor kids, anything could have happened.
I really cannot understand how careless some people are.
My children are far too precious to me that I wouldn't contemplate leaving them on their own in a car (they are 6 and 8 btw)

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:37

Word of advice...when you go to Blackpool in summer - grab a couple of those sweet rock dummies - work a treat - work much better than them latex ones

ArseBiscuits · 18/06/2006 21:40

I fink little LeviStraus looks dead cute now his little teef have turned black and brown. My mate said the sweetie dummies were the best for that so he has been having them since he was a baby.

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:42

too right - look younger longerwhen front uns drop out ....

Blossomhill · 18/06/2006 21:43

Makes you die doesn't it that you need a licence to have a dog

Although I am of the wrap in cotton wool brigade (much to dh's disgust)

Nearly keeled over when I saw ds's friend (8 like ds) walking himself to school along very busy main road. Infact could have cried. What is the matter with some people?

Flum · 18/06/2006 21:43

I leave my dd in the car all the time to pop into places. I think it is quite a recent thing for this to be construed as shocking behaviour.

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:44

i think there are limits there is a real world out there

ArseBiscuits · 18/06/2006 21:44

Dead cute NOA.

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:45

coke helps as well - our Glitter has it in her bottle. Still avvin problems getting her to sleep though

ArseBiscuits · 18/06/2006 21:48

Glitter, aw how cute is that. I find some voddy in the coke helps them got off at night. In fact I'm off to get my lot their bottles now, the oldest one has moved straight on to WKD, which is good cause theres not so much mixing involved there.

Night, night, as soon as they are down I'm off clubbing. WinkGrin

Flum · 18/06/2006 21:53

Coke ain't gonna do it. You need to give em hash cakes trouble is you have to actually cook to do that so best just give em a bit of hash to chew on - great for teething too.

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 21:54

night love -ur Gazza has found me real coke stash and its given him a nose bleed so i better check he's not using the last of me bog roll - see you in Morrisons tomorrow - trying out me new home made disabled badge!

Finbar · 18/06/2006 21:56

Just to put the record straight - Waitrose DO sell Pot Noodles!!

Flum · 18/06/2006 21:58

NotAnOtter · 18/06/2006 22:00

psychomum5 · 18/06/2006 22:02

Not that I condone people leaving kiddies in car while shopping, as I don't with mine...but....

How many of you here leave you kiddies in the car while paying for petrol, and maybe grabbing a couple of items in the petrol staion shop?? I do that, so is it any different. Or is it just that we can see them more easily thro the petrol station windows???

I don't want to cause a bigger issue here, just genuinly interested:):)
