which did you watch. dh and I were just talking about it.
in our house it was blue peter

I hadn't even heard of magpie till I met dh and he scorned me for watching BP.

How did I watch both?

blue peter for me. My parents were a bit like martin bishops.

Occasionally BP.
But my dad would only let us watch TV if it was dark outside or raining
So we didn't see much of BP!

Blue Peter at home, by Parental Order, but Magpie at grandparents' houses.

I learned loads by watching BP, all about the French Revolution and Ann Frank. they used to have sort of story boards, and the presenters used to read the script while you looked at the pictures IYSWIM.

Loved it.

Never had any stickybacked plastic though....or glue or poster paints!

Used to watch Blue Peter, but used to fancy Tommy Boyd from Magpie

magpie was the only childrens programme on ITV my dad would let us watch!

Watched both. Still have letters received from Magpie, thanking me for my donation to their appeal and from BP for being a competition runner up. Have them in my "treasure box"!

Both - they were on on different days.

Preferred Magpie though.

Magpie - cooler, and BP bored me to tears. I did like the historical 'plays' they used to do, like the one about Marie Antoinette.

Magpie, which incedently is the name of my favourite album of the moment ( god i sound like my pretentious x) But the title of this thread sounds like your asking an 80's political question, Blue Peter or Maggie T. Both pretty shite.

I do love Will Youngs Video though and i also love Ronan Keatings new song, shit i'm a middle aged housewife.
