Can your child where whatever they want within reason? Are normal uniform rules forgotten?

Dd had a non school uniform day today and had to replace her sandals with plimsolls, children wearing sleeveless tops had to wear jumpers and you can't have your hair loose either! All seems a bit pointless to me, may as well wear uniform!

Yep as long as it's appropriate for school, they can wear what they choose.

I mean in terms of taste and decency/Health and safety....Grin

What's the point of all that? Mind you, agree with covering shoulders in this weather, but jumpers?????? Might as well wear uniform. lol @ H&S madness

If they didn't have jumpers they had to change into pe t shirts.

They aren't normally allowed to wear sandals but I thought it would be ok for today, apparently not.

No skimpy tops or high heels are the only rules we have.

Sometimes its whatever you want (then they chrge), but this week so far we had a desert themed day and a green day. Both involved new clothes, and then Tuesday in Sports Day and we have to send in t-shirts in team colours (only notified Tuesday). Guess what? Different colours altogether. Grr
