skeletons in the closet

I was thinking about this today, does everyone have skeletons in the closet?
I saw an old friend of mine the other day, i haven't seen her in ages. Later that day i was thinking about when we were younger, she tried to kill herself after a bad spell of depression. I was told by her Mum who found her and she got rushed into hospital. There is still only my friend, her Mum and myself who know about this, not even her now husband knows.

Then i started thinking about another friend of mine. We used to work together, and he told me when he was about 15, he had a sexual relationship with our bosses brother. (He is gay if you hadn't guessed!) He told me about this after our bosses brother came into where we worked, proudly showing off his new fiance!!

Then i was thinking about my skeletons, which i wont tell you about unless i change my name! Does everyone have them, something you have never told anyone, or just a select few, or is it just us who lee seedy lives.

Both my family and dh's family have had HUGE skeletons discovered over the past few years. Every family has them don't they?

One in our family... My grandmother met my Grandfather during the war. When my Dad was about three, he was told that his Dad was killed in the war. Many years later, my Dad found out tha his Dad had not died, but had gone back to America, they had gor devorced, and because it was so frowned upon in those days, they had made the lie up about him dying.
Last year, when i got my computer, i decided to turn detective and try to trace him. After about six months, i traced him, and found out that sadly he had died five years previous. But the good news is, we also found out that my Dad has a brother and sister from when my Grandfather re-married. We are all now in touch, and are hoping to meet up this year.
So that was a bad skeleton that ended up being a good one!

I only found out last year that my paternal Grandparents were first cousins .... no wonder we're all mad in our family ................

I recently discovered that my dad's father, who died in 1911, is noted down in the 1901 Census as a Pauper Lunatic in a London asylum!

My dh's Grandma (now dead) was French, and she had dh's dad out of wedlock. We discovered that his Father was a German Officer who she had a fling with during the war. She was cut off from her family beacuse of this so her parents never met her baby. It turns out she was actually working as a spy for the French resistance and never loved this German guy. I loved his GRan she was some woman with lots of stories to tell.

I have quite a few, most of them I wouldn't broadcast and I certainly would never go on reality TV - I can imagine the tabloids

Angeliz · 12/02/2004 12:57

I have a few! Things some people know and others don't!!!
I'd never tell though!
I used to sit and think about my past when i had dd and i honestly used to get palpitations so i don't think about it now!!
