My DD aged 7 would love to swap emails/snail mail with a Brownie from another country. We're in the UK.
Does anyone know a willing Brownie?
Thanks.

mummysurfer - my daughter's not a Brownie and she's in the UK but can I ask her if she'd like a penfriend? She'll probably turn her nose up at the idea or it'll peter out after 2 emails but I had hundreds of penfriends when I was little and loved it. She'll be 7 in April.

mummysurfer · 11/02/2004 10:09

Thanks Tinker. She really would like to contact another Brownie but I will let you know if we don't get any takers. Won't mention it to DD tho' in case your DD isn't keen.

She'd love to exchange email with your dd.

Mummysurfer · 12/02/2004 18:21

august24, I tried to contact you through mumsnet and they've just mailed me to say you've opted not to be contacted thro' MN.
You could always contact me, or you can update your member profile so that I can reach you.
Cheers.

Hope this all works.

DD now has (hopefully) a UK penpal, an international penpal plus we've manged to link some of her Brownie friends too!!
Didn't realise it would be so complicated.
I found a Mumsnet flaw too. It would be very helpful if they sent out a copy of "Contact another talker" to the person making the request. As in this case the senile requester forgot what I'd said to who. Or should that be whom?????
Think I've got it sorted now.
If anyone still fancies a penpal contact me and I'll try and oblige.
A big thank you to everyone who responded.
