When does half term start for you?

Our half term starts on the 23rd of Feb (Kent) but ive noticed that on a mumsnet meetup there is a meeting on Friday the 20th so i was just wondering whether they are staggering the holidays or is this the norm for differnet places to have different holidays? Thanks

Ours is next week. This term often has different timings in different parts of the country as each LEA tries to fit itself in around Easter etc. (next half term holiday is fixed because of exams)

Teacher Training on Friday 20th and off all of the following week and then go back to school on 1st March - DDs school is under Bexley Council I think.

We have an inset day on the 13th, and half term runs from the 16th (Croydon LEA).

Friday 13th is inset day then half term Monday 16th, poor dears are having teeth pulled ready for braces, so not looking forward to it...(Lancashire)

We're in Scotland and my dd is off on Friday 13th and Monday 16th and that's our half term holiday. They're also getting an inservice training day on March 1st and that's it.
