More bad news about the move!

Just had a call from our vendor to say she ahs been told by her solicitor, that woman at top of chain who made us all agree to 17th july for completion has NOT confirmed this with her solicitorshock]..shit shit shit.
my solicitor not in this afty and am waiting to ring agent back who was gunna see what she could find out..but

bugger :( We got a letter on saturday saying that the housing association STILL hasn't heard anything about the handover date of the new houses :( its shit isn;t it??

totally..and youve been waiting bloody ages havent you!?
i just want a date, vendr thinks it may be because schools break up week after, so they may not want to move till then..but so be it!..i just want a date set in stone..agent's phone is going straight to voicemail 8-(

defo. We were supposed to have move in oct-dec 2005, 6 months later and we still haven;t moved!! Was told at the begining of may it would be very soon (2-4 weeks) and now they are saying they don;t know when it will be. I just want to move, sick of the date getting moved all the time... (private buyers in the street moved in before xmas!!!!!)

so annoying, I am a very 'date' person, I like to know when I am doing something IYKWIM

yeah same here..you cant arrange ANYTHING till you have a date can you!..ive had to change removals and gas/elec/sky etc twice already!

rang solicitors back and asked for actual solicitor (not his right hand man(woman))to check it and ring me..nothing..agent never called back..god, i cant believe all this hassle, my heads banging and i need to get a grip!, but its really stressing me!

guess its been a bad day all round today then, must be something to do with it being the 13th. our move is going pear shaped atm, we are supposed to be exchanging and completing on the same day, next thursday, but there is still a problem at the begining of the chain.

i rang our solicitor this afternoon, to be told by the receptionist that he wasn't in, so spoke to his secretary. because what i was telling her was so long winded and confusing, she said she'd just have a quick word with him, turns out, he was in after all, just avoiding calls

hope its not a bad omen as the house we are buying, is number..........13!.

I have already given my tencancy termination in, so if I am not moved in 2 weeks, I have to go onto weekly tencancy here, which means phoning the HO every week to continue with my tenancy.

oh god, were all having a nitemare arnt we!
still cant get solicitorhave to ring back at 10.50..rang agent cos she didnt bother ringing me back!..she cant get hold of top end of chains solicitor??..dp says to keep positive ad until/if they tell us different, we worry about it then!
