Really odd letter through my door...

It is hand written with no names on it.

Says, all in capitals, "If you must insist on wttching such disgraceful obscene pornographic material could you at least have the decency to close your curtains, I'm damn sure no one else wants to see your explicit film. You should be ashamed!!"

I have no idea what they are talking about, Neither DH or I watch porn films. Last night we were in bed by 10:30pm. No idea what this is about or who from. Feel really cross and confused. Who sent it and why?

We are also not overlooked by anyone really. Our liing room is on 1st floor. Only window opposite us is a very high up landing window, unlikely to be able see that far to see our TV anyway. A couple of larger houses opposite but further down round. Shouldn't have thought they could see our TV. It is a big TV - plasma thing, but not on wall and quite low down.

I KNOW where DH was all night - in bed next to me. And we went to bed at same time, always do. And I am light sleeper - I;d know if he was up in the night!

You could always go to your neighbours and ask if they think it was supposed to be for them.

DH watched Snatch the other night. He says it had some sexual scenes in it but nothing bad. I didn't watch it but was in same room. Is it bed????

As we are on first floor, especially in this hot wetaher, we don't tend to close curtains until we go to bed - about 10-11o'clock. Night he watched Snatch we were up later.

Was going to ask neighbour about it - they are nice family. They've just headed out with dog so will ctach them on return I hope.

No, Dh doesn't use the computer and it doesn't face window anyway. DH is really not into porn at all. Honest. It isn't his thing at all.

No bedrooms overlook us. The houses on other side are too far away to see.

Only film we can think of that might have had something in it is Snatch - which is an 18 but not a sex/porn film. But has sexual scenes it I think maybe. But he watched that a fair few days ago and note only just through.

I'd let the police know. Maybe others are receiving notes too with worse content. Also if whoever is watching the porn doesn't stop, who's to say that the letter writer won't go a step further, especially as they won't necessarily realise they've got the wrong house.

How bizarre that someone is watching a film on your tv through their windows.

Didn't think it could be that film as I couldn't remember anything bad in it and neither could DH.

Looking out my window ad I can't work out one house that has an accessible window where you could even see flashing lights from our TV, let alone an actual picture.

Even if they could there has been nothing on there that is onscene anyway!

Have spoken to neighbours about it and shown them letter. They think it must be a prank too, although writing content does seem adult. They are going to keep their ear out for anything similar (we are away form tonight) anywhere else in case of serial prankster. Will keep hold of note for now just in case.

Think police may be a bit OTT for one note for now, especially so close to holiday.

Did make me feel a little sickened though. Felt embarrassed going outside to go and get DD. How daft is that when i know I did nothing wrong?! DH says it has made him feel a bit odd too.
