Brighton Mners - what to do?

A friend in Brighton is letting dd and I stay in a flat that he normally rents out as a holiday flat. This is great for us as we weren't going anywhere this summer. We're only staying for 3 nights/4 days in mid-July. What are things we should make sure we see and do? DD is 6. We will be driving down so will have a car with us.

No idea where the flat is yet as not heard back from my friend but presumably if he lets it for holidays it must be central. I'm sure he'll have ideas of where to go, obviously, but he doesn't have any children so probably not the best to ask for kid friendly things!
