Can anyone recommend a naice place for afternoon tea in London that doesn't cost the earth?
We're taking DD1 to London for a personal shopping experience for her 18th in a few weeks, and would like afternoon tea to finish the day nicely.

If £22.50 is too much you can get a cream tea for a tenner.

I agree with the Wolsley. I went there recently with my dd, quite informal and relaxed. Lovely staff and they keep offering more food. It was lovely.
Its about £22 each.

Oh gosh, I think we all love The WolseleyGrin

I recently did afternoon tea in London for my birthday - all the hotels are about £35+ service. It was OK but not brill. I then recently walked past an amazing looking tea shop near covent garden, almost opposite the police station and a Wahaca and TGIF. It looks lovely and I would rather go somewhere like that. Also Valerie's do wonderful patisserie.
