new style passport

ds has a new passport, which arrived today.

It has a chip embedded in it for officiel observations.

It is also written in English Welsh and (i think) Gallic....which pleased and surprised me.

It also has birds printed on the inside...very odd.

Exactly how I felt when DS1's passport arrived last month.

...did you also see it has a antenae...says so in one of the little booklets that came with it...wtf? Cue consipracy theories about gov'ts tracking us around the world....

Just to be nosey how long did it take to process - waiting for dd' renewal and ds' new one, and mine to be returned.

Did you send it via the post office check and send?

If so, two weeks. It was slightly less than that when I got DS1's passport back.

No sent straight there and no documents back yet.

we sent it check and send by the post office a week last saterday. It arrived today, so less than 2 weeks

That's pretty good service ! We sent same day Recorded but not Check and Send so perhaps they won't be too far behind.
