how to teach swimming?

i dont want to pay a fortune for group lessons. and obviously cant afford private tuition.
i can swim a few lentghs, dont know if it is recognisable or not, but for me, a swim is a fun splash in the pool. id like the kids to be able to enjoy the pool sa well without the aid of a thousand arm bands, noodles etc etc.
any suggestions on how to go about it?

It does look quite good, we have a copy, but I confess we went with swimming lessons in the end because we never found the time and I'm not that confident in the water.

i decided that i would become a swim teacher as getting lessons here are like hens teeth. contact the amatuar swimming asociation and would be able to point you in the right direction.
