I'm up in Herts close to either Stevenage/Hitchin (or even the other way towards Luton/Harpenden/St Albans), and I can't find anyone to give my son a nice posh haircut. Everyone I have tried has just practically shaved his head. Any recommendations for someone that does a good job near me?

I always ask for an old fashioned boys haircut and specify no clippers. Seems to come out OK.

AdelaideS · 02/06/2006 23:12

Cece's right, ask for a short back and sides and no clippers.

MamaMaiasaura · 02/06/2006 23:53

Ds wont go near a hairdressers since they got the clippers out. He is 'growing' it. Wants to be a rock star (he is 6). It is a bit long but looks kinda cool. MY mum keeps mentioning tha tit needs a cut but my attitude is that isnt doing any harm and ds happy.

LEarnt though always ask for scissor cut only

whats a "posh haircut"

Do they stick a silver spoon in his mouth as theyre cutting it?

tenalady · 02/06/2006 23:55

SQ, like you I hate that rough cut not much style. I go to a girl called Catrena in Bucklesbury, Hitchin, the cut cost £8 I think its called Head something. Its the first double fronted salon past Brookers on the right hand side.

MamaMaiasaura · 02/06/2006 23:55

lol @ wb.. think she means a 'just william' haircut.

ScienceQueen · 03/06/2006 11:41

Thanks tenalady, I am going to try to get get him to Catrena - I think the place is called Headlands...

And no clippers anywhere from now on, at any rate!

We favour the 'Little Lord Fauntleroy' cut

ie no cut at all.

By far the poshest and you save your money too :)

How about printing a photo off the internet and taking it in with you?

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2006 11:52

How about \link{http://www.strangepersons.com/images/content/109703.jpg\this one}, is that the sort of thing you were after?
