No -one answered on the sleep board so thought I'd try here.

My copy of the CLBB is the old one where you feed at least every 3 hours at first then move onto the 2-4 week routine.

Can anyone post the 1 week routine that is in the new edition of the book just for reference and to give me a few pointers on what to head towards.

Last time I didn't start til dd was nearly 7 weeks old (and what a nightmare those 7 weeks were)

HI Julie - been running round trying to find my battered little CLBB (by turns it is cherished and punted into the corner) and no luck but as I remember it it's something like:

7am wake and feed baby
9am baby has sleep until 10am or poss slightly later
10 (possibly a bit later) feed
bed at 12 for 2 or 2 and a half hour sleep
up at 230pm and feed
4pm-5pm sleep (at least part of the time)
half a feed 5 ish
bath 5.45 and then other half of feed
7 ish put baby to bed
10 ish feed again
when he/she wakes feed again, giving a 'full' feed if it is before 5am and half a feed if it is after 5am, in that instance topping up at 7.30 rather than 7

I've left out all the bits about having to eat toast etc

only thing that strikes me is that the 10 until 2.30 seems a long time - not sure if I've misrememberd things - any other mumsnetters correct me?

Found it...

At 1 week

7am Wake baby feed etc.
8.30 settle baby in cot for sleep of no more than 1 and half hours
10am Feed
11.30 settle baby in cot for sleep of no more than 2 and half hours
2pm Feed
3.30 Sleep again but not past 5pm
5pm Half Feed
6pm Bath
6.15 Feed
7pm Bed time

This is the bare bones. If you want any more just let me know...

BR
