Friends DS seen a ghost?

Have no idea where to post this.

Was at my friends house today and we were upstairs putting her 3 year olds coat on ready to go out when out of nowhere he physically jumped and looked really startled. He ran to the top of the stairs and smiled and said, "Its only you, you scared me!"

There was nobody else in the house.

Would you chalk this up as kids and imagination or do you think he could have actually seen a ghost?

Imagination. Imaginary friend, his mind. He's three.

He can't have seen a ghost, as there aren't any.

My 3 year old is scared of the light on his baby monitor, talks to himself and has imaginary friends. He could well berate something inanimate for scaring him using the wrong pronouns.

We do, Bazoo. The same way we know fairies, werewolves and zombies don't exist.
If I am ever in the teensiest doubt about this, I remind myself of the $1million Randi challenge and that doubt goes away.

I'm with perplexed on this one. There really is no such thing. It will be his imagination.

Come over to the Body and Soul, and post in Philosophy/religion/spirituality to find woo believers. We won't disregard what you say as being nonsense. We weren't there so how do we know what he say.
Plenty of rational people have seen spirits dontcha know Smile

I dont know what I believe but thousands of people have had experiences, things that cant be explained etc.
Its quite arrogant to just outright dismiss it.
Im open minded.

But honest update.
My friend asked her little boy who he had been talking to later that day.
Friend - Do you remember earlier when something made you jump and you spoke to them? Who was it?"
Little Boy - (like shes a loon) Erm Whiskers...
The cat! LOL!

Once my then 3 year old ( who was very articulate) and I were walking through a train station in London when he suddenly said " who were those men?" I said I don't know, what men, and he described to me two men in "green police men's uniform with silver things on the side" when I looked I couldn't see anything, and I thought maybe he'd seen a paramedic or something.so I said maybe it was an ambulance man to which he gave me a look and said no mummy they don't wear hat things do they!? It dawned on me that he must have seen a ww1/ww2 soldiers.I was a bit creeped out to say the least! I can't say for sure what they were but it certainly sounded like it.
