Taking girls swimming in an hour or so. DD1 - 4 yrs but has speial needs so still in nappies) and DD2 - 5 months old.

Thought I owned swimmer nappies but seems I don't. Swimming cossies in abundance but no special nappies.

Can't get out until my lift to the pool arrives. What would you do?

will the pool sell them? Our local pools do. Could ring and ask.

maybe the pool sell individual ones?

cupcakes · 01/06/2006 13:40

oops

BettySpaghetti · 01/06/2006 13:40

Run round and ask neighbours? Ring friends who could drop one off for you?

Iklboo · 01/06/2006 13:42

Sorry to crash but I have a daft question - is it OK just to put them in the swimmer nappy or do they need plastic pants over the top? DS is 6.5 months and we'd like to take him swimming cos he loves splashing.

oh noooooooooooo. This isn't good. no-one to ask. Oh poo! Will ring the pool now butI have a feeling not.

What else can I do.
Would it be a disaster for them to use a normal nappy under cossie. It would wouldn't it.

normal nappy will just get waterlogged

can you not get to a supermarket on the way?

scienceteacher · 01/06/2006 13:45

You can't use a normal disposable nappy in the pool - you have to use something like Huggies Little Swimmers (which actually are very reusable if they don't get dirty).

Thomcat · 01/06/2006 13:48

Yeah will have to stop at supermarket, but a pain as a) don't pass one on the way and b) short on time.
Oh well.

IME pools sell them (although at a vastly inflated price) or can you call into boots or supermarket en route?

yackertyyack · 01/06/2006 13:59

Once on holiday we forgot to take a swim nappy to the pool and kept DS in own nappy.....Grin big mistake as the weight of his nappy was so heavy it kept pulling him under!!!
Think most pools sell them nowadays - give them a shout
