Hi all, I'm oracle, I'm 27, I've just joined and can't find an introduction board so I thought I'd introduce myself here.
In September I had an abnormal smear and though now I am clear, due to my family history my consultant told me and my husband if we wanted children to have them ASAP. Even though in an ideal world we would have waited a couple more years. We both want to try for a child of our own, so on Wednesday I am coming off the pill. I've joined mainly for advice and support as I think that sometimes advice from outside the family can be best.
Has anyone else been in this situation where a medical professional has guided the decision of when to try and conceive?
Thanks
Oracle

Hello,
I have no direct experience but wanted to say hi and to offer a hand to hold.

If you have a look under topics you will find boards with lots more traffic - if you ask in general health, conception or similar you will, usually, find a lot of women who share your experience.

Although I'm sure better posters will be along here soon!

Thanks, the forum is so big it's a bit daunting

Just jump straight in! Don't be daunted, there may be a reputation for meanness but posting about health or your welfare will always garner compassionate, sensible answers wherever you post (and it wasn't wrong to post here, just quiet) I have received invaluable support.

You only get ripped to shreds for having an opinion on aibu - it's clearly marked 'here be Dragons' Wink. It's brilliant Grin.
Come on over to chat for a cheer up Wine

Thank you for the encouragement. Smile
