Just wondering what other people are doing. Because I did something most people probably consider piss-easy but it was quite difficult for me, honest!

... because although I am NOT good at mornings and weekend mornings it usually takes at least one cup of tea made by someone else before I can function - and because although I am veggie...

I got up, helped ds (9) present dh with cards and presents and then stoically cooked them a fried breakfast. Which I really don't know how to cook - I can do sausages but never cook bacon or fry eggs.

The kitchen may be full of smoke, and several rounds of fried bread ended up in the bin, however! Grin

I know to some people this is easy but I don't do the kind of cooking where you have to co-ordinate stuff, I do pasta or one-pot with rice. I don't fry eggs, I poach them, but dh likes fried.

(Also because dh is working today. An extra to make a bit of extra money, bar work for a friend who has a catering company and has a big do on. So it will be hard work for 12 hours before a full week's office work inc. significant commute. Bless him.)

(I may need some of dh's wages to go out and buy a new frying pan, however...)

I made him coffee. He usually does the morning coffee run. The rest is down to the DC when they finally get up. ( I did give them money and instructions, though Wink)

Seriously, I may need to start a new thread on rescuing frying pans that are caked in carbon. The enjoyment of the meal was slightly affected by the amount of smoke in the air - but at least I remembered to shut the kitchen door before the smoke alarm went off!
