computer virus help needed

my laptop scanned for viruses today and it says i have a virus, (embedded object, and in the archive) and says it cannot be healed

any idea how i fix it?

it doesnt seem to be causing any problems, but i should get rid shouldnt i?

Did it give you a name for the virus lou?

where it says result, it just says virus identified java/open stream

if click on anyuthing to try and see further i cant get the pages to load

Bugger. Usually if you can find a name you can do a quick google search. At least that way you knowwhat sort of potential threat, if any, the virus has. Often find removal tools as well.

What virus software do you use?

You might be able to find something on the net that can scan again.

i changed from norton to avg on my vaio
