Will it be mayhem at Ikea today?

Just wondering as I really need to go and if I go this afternoon dp can come too!

Would rather go myself but need lots of heavy stuff and don't see why I should always have to do it on my own!!

What would be the best time does anyone know?

Yes it will. It really, really will. Don't go. Or wait till 9 pm or something. It was atrocious yesterday, I dread to think what it will be like today.

We would have to take ds and dd with us that's why it can't really be too late that we go.

When are you expecting him back? Would you post if you can and let me know how bad it was?

Damn thought maybe some people would have better things to do with their lives than we obviously do but clearly everyone is as sad as us!!

It's not just Saturday, it's Bank Holiday Saturday, and it's raining (well it is here), the whole world will be there.

Can dp get a morning off midweek (not this week as it's halfterm) and go with you then?

I went last Saturday and we didn't realise the sale was on so it was mega busy.
No joke, it took 1 whole hour to get parked another hour to get out after!
This was Leeds.

I experienced true hell once, on a Bank Holiday Monday, in Ikea on the North Circular with R Kelly blaring over the PA

Nope dp does NOT do time off, even for childbirth, whole other story, but it is our business which means if we aren't about no bugger else does anything!

Oh well, might knock the idea on the head and go late one night instead. We are nearest to the nottingham one which is open til 10pm some nights so will go then me thinks.

it will be jam-packed.it's a bank holiday weekend.I'm tempted to say "send dp on his own" but if he's anything like minehe won't come back with what you asked anyway.I would think it's quieter first thing after opening.

I'll only set foot in there straight from the school run - half an hour of free coffee then whizz round the store shopping.

I went to Ikea during the weekend of the last bank holiday and the roads were emptier than I had experienced in years. The shop itself was on the busy side, but nothing too horrendous.

Have decided to give it up for the day noe though. We're gonna go late one night during the week and put the stuff up next weekend.

How to ruin a good holiday....go shopping.

It started to get mad on the roads driving back from the Farmer's Market at 11AM - well, we did a pit stop in Prince's St. Gardens to see some of the Cow Parade exhibit.

But just driving home, I thought, 'Not going anywhere else unless we can walk,' so just did a bit of charity shop browsing w/a stop on the way home for some g&t supplies :o.

Dp thinks it would be great to go and see his parents.

Would rather be at Ikea during the January sales!!

Oh well!

By 7pm I will be wishing that I had taken dp and every child I have ever met to Ikea for a fun afternoon out.

Anything is better than the outlaws!
