I like the fact that says in China post-natal mums spend a month in seclusion and are exempt from household chores.

I could cope no problem with no chores for a month!

Do you think that their husbands/partners do the chores for them, or, leave it all for them to do at the end of the month?

amen to that.
unfortunatly the tasks fall to the other women in the family, probably the poor women's MIL. - now that would be worse, think i would rather do it myself!

I suppose if we did it ourselves, we'd at least know where everything is.

Does anyone find that if their dh/dp has put something away (without you seeing) and forgotten where, that you know where it is?

dont get me started on the dh.

Why is it that they just dont seem to see what needs doing? I have turned into such a nag and hate the sound of my own voice(guess thats why i love the net so much).
How many times do they have to step over things before picking it up and why dont they know where the kids keep their toys.
AND WHY CANT THEY SEE THINGS WHEN IT IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM ARRRGGGHH!!

have you ever silently gone on strike. They never seem to notice and after 2/3 days i cant bear it and end up blitzing the house so it looks even better than before!

Exactly - done the shouting, done the going on strike and giving in. What's the point, they don't even notice or appreciate it when everything's tidy anyway! They still can't find anything.

Question is, how can we stop our ds becoming versions of our dh?

Don't know about that one. I'll have to think about it.
