A woman in a Margaret Atwood novel integrated it into her art work...and probably sold it for lots of dosh.

azroc · 21/05/2006 10:48

I put mine in the compost - seems the greenest thing to do with it.

Once read years ago that Madonna was happiest when removing lint from tumble dryer (she was married to Sean Penn at the time...). Must've hepled her keep in touch with us plebs.

alexsmum · 21/05/2006 11:15

why is it always airforce blue?

having said that i remember washing all ds1's cot sheets and blankets for the first time before he was born and the fluff came out snow whiteSmile

TinyGang · 21/05/2006 11:19

GrinLol, EmmyLou! It feels so good to know that on some small level I live the life of MadonnaGrin

MrsBadger · 21/05/2006 11:24

surely one could spin it and knit it into a teacosy, or use it to pad a quilt or something

maybe lentilweavers do this already... what are those washable sanitary towels stuffed with?

EmmyLou · 21/05/2006 11:30

LOVE the tea cosy idea - "More tea vicar? And by the way do you like my new tea cosy? I made it myself from...."

azroc · 21/05/2006 12:17

Lentilweaver? What a fab word. I want to be one!!

sharklet · 21/05/2006 13:23

i feed mine to the worms.

EmmyLou · 21/05/2006 13:33

sharklet, can you see Madge strolling over to wormery "eat up boys - its D&G today"

SenoraPostrophe · 21/05/2006 13:55

I made a little mattress and some pillows for dd's dolls' house with fluff from mine.

EmmyLou · 21/05/2006 14:07

That's sooo industrious - will think of you as stuff mine in gap between tumble dryer and recycling box. (Well heck - the bin is 3 metres away!)

CristinaTheAstonishing · 21/05/2006 14:20

DH did a wash of DS's clothes without checking pockets first. Then I put them on a dry cycle w/o checking anything first. Always a good idea in the future to check what happened to those raising he shoved in his pockets...

GrinTwiglet - its a wet sunday afternoon and dd3 has fallen asleep infront of telly (bad mother) dh is working abroad and tumble dryer fluff seems as good a displacement activity as anything else. Do actually need to log off and wash school uniforms - and get a life.

Melpomene · 21/05/2006 18:03

I've seen a picture made from tumble drier fluff in a museum in Orlando - it was about 1m square, took a year to make I think.
