£130p/a at 10K

Surely you only need to insure it if you would want to replace it at current gallery prices - say if your darling children stood on the back of the sofa, ripped it off the wall, threw it on the floor and jumped up and down on it.

hunkermonkee · 20/05/2006 11:50

Twiglett, I tell you what, I'll take it off your hands for $100 (or £100) and save you worrying about it. I don't promise to still have it though, should you want it back Wink Grin

jampots · 20/05/2006 11:51

Ill give you £150 Grin

morningpaper · 20/05/2006 11:56

I'd flog it and buy something else

newtoallthis · 20/05/2006 12:13

Do you like it? If you do it's worth the insurance money. If you don't then I'd sell it and either invest the money in something I really liked or use the oney for something else.

hub2dee · 20/05/2006 12:24

Might be worth shopping around on the premium, T ? Alternatively, consider insuring for about 5K (ie. perhaps the value to a gallery who sells at 10K) IYSWIM ?

Maybe it would just be better to put a really nice television next to it cos the tea leafs would take that instead, LOL.

Do not under-insure it.
One of the many get out clauses put in my insurers is that if you don't insure for full whack, bad things happen to your claim.
