T-MOBILE USERS PLEASE READ - T-mobile price increase breaks contract T & C

For anyone with a T-Mobile contract:

T Mobile are introducing a £1 charge for itemised billing but this breaks the terms and conditions of their own contracts because it is above RPI. Anyone receiving notification of the increase will be given the option to accept the charge or change to unitemised billing. What they will NOT tell you is that you actually have the right to cancel your contract with immediate effect (but do it before the increase takes place) without penalty.

It means my dh for one now has a brand new, bang up to date mobile and can switch it to a pay-as-you-go which suits him much better. The price of a new sim card is peanuts compared to what he would have to pay to buy the phone in the first place.

Snugs - please tell me more - DP and I both have contract phones with T Mobile and to be honest they are a complete Fucking nightmare! !

They never send out bills for each of our mobiles then when the money isn't there for the direct debit to go through they but the phone off until the payment is made - i have been looking for a reason to get out of the contract.

Please tell me how i can do it!

I got the details from a money-saving website I am signed up to here

It seems it is monthly-billed contracts. Be careful to read through all the posts (long thread I'm afraid) because T-Mobile have apparently used some dirty tactics to con people into not cancelling.
