Does anyone do ballroom dancing?

so am I on my own in wanting to do this. Do I aspire to being Ginger Rogers to my Fred Astaire alone?

Gottadance....I love ballroom dancing!! Go every week with my step-MIL. Is most definately NOT a nerdy thing. Would most dearly love DH to come dancing with me but he refuses point blank...so go and enjoy yourselves!

And don't worry about inability..there is usually someone worse than you there.

Only just seen this. I've been going to a ballroom and Latin class for a year now, inspired by Strictly Come Dancing. I don't know how other schools work but we started in a class for complete beginners, moved up to Improvers at Christmas and have just moved up a bit more. I love it, even though I just can't get the quickstep at all! (BTW I take my 16 yo old DS because my DH won't go, and we've just started salsa as well )

DD's dance studio place has several ballroom dance lessons for adults and children alike, from beginners to more advanced. They even have a bar in there for the later night sessions.

4yo DD has recently started a dance class that leads to ballroom. She loves it!
