Not a good day....DH has left for 2 weeks away on business and.....

....we have a leak under the sink which has flooded the kitchen floor so I need to find a plumber pronto
I've lost the car keys
I've dropped a milk bottle which smashed on floor
I've got a dodgy tummy from eating chinese takeway last night

And it's only 8am.......it's not a good day.

I'd give up and go back to bed mj.

Time to book that flight and arrive at his hotel this evening... enjoy someone else doing the laundry and cooking for the next 2 weeks...

2 Children, no passports and too difficult.

Found the car keys in the wheelie bin outside - don't ask me how they got there!

The only way is up, I guess.

Get into a routine and enjoy the space. DH has been away quite a lot recently, a week at a time, and I'm at home with the kids (12,7 & 3). When he's away I tend to be stricter about bedtimes so I get some time to myself, I buy really nice ready meals/easy to prepare food so I have a decent dinner and a couple of glasses of wine which I would have if he were at home and have girlfriend(s) round one night so I have company and a fun evening without going out and worrying about babysitting arrangements. Apologies if your kids are really little and this isn't an option - in that case demand a weekend away or at least a decent night out together when he gets back
