Need to do an org chart with windows XP - Hellllppppp

I have only got the basic version of windows xp, so no power point! Its got Works etc - does anyone know how I can do an org chart? Any ideas would be welcome

Does your version of Works have Word? Is so you could use the drawing tools - lots of rectangles to write inside and then the line/arrorrs to link them togather.

Mind, have you tried the microsoft downloads website? You may be able to download a template from there.

It would be worth having a look at programs available from OpenOffice . They do programs that are compatible with Microsoft but with open access for all. Their program OpenOfice Impress is meant to be like Powerpoint. It's not as easy to use, I found, but it's worth a try.

It would be worth looking at this page first actually; the first link I gave was to downloads, but this actually explains what they are, always helpful!

If you do get stuck with doing it in Word, you might find it easier to do it in table format. Printout with no borders or internal lines, except those you need to show links in the chart. Takes a bit of doing with merging and splitting cells but can be done with a bit of patience.
