How do I get files from Windows Media Player on to I Tunes ?

Please tell me I can.
Have got a load of CD's copied onto media player, have now lost the CD's (well DP has) and I want to listen to them on my Ipod.

in iTunes, click advanced, consolodate library that should find any music files on your computer and transfer them
