Adverts you love... Adverts you hate...

This should probably be in the telly addicts section but hey, what the heck.

My favourite three luvvies...

  1. The Honda Commercial from around Christmas time with "To Dream the Impossible Dream" as it's theme music. Got me a bit chokey, actually.

  2. The "JustAsk.com" commercial where the bloke asks policemen for pushes on the swing and the massively huge guy for a ride on his shoulders...priceless. If I did that, people would think that I am a nutter and ring the nearest asylum.

  3. The commerical with all of the colourful balls bouncing down the steep streets of San Francisco. I always wanted to drop one of those really springy balls down one of those roads and watch it go. People would ring the cops though.

and HATE...

  1. Sheila's Wheels. 'Nuf said.

  2. Any advert for a loan company. Grrrrr...

  3. The Annoying Thing adverts. AUGHGHGHGH! NONONONONONO!!!!

All these ads for sofa shops really get me.

  • it's Christmas! Get a new sofa
  • it's Bank Holiday! Get a new sofa
  • it's Tuesday! Get a new sofa

They are all so samey that I don't even know which is which any more.

I do quite like the squeezable Marmite ad though, even though I can't stand Marmite.

hate all the loan ads,window ads and any others where you have some horrible man shouting at you!!
love the walls sausages ad with the rabid dog!!(i know alot of mnetters hate it,but i think its funny!!)
oh,also hate them compensation ads,especially that one with the woman who slips on her way into work (you shouldve been watching where you were going then love!)and the man that falls off his ladder!!

love all Honda ads, right back to 'Hate Something, Change Something' - if I'm ever director of a multinational I'm headhunting all the people who handle their account.

hate the AA one where they've shamelessly cut beats out of the bars of the song just to make it fit the 30s slot. Some things should not be tampered with.

oh and i dont like the ad for nspcc.the one with the little boy in the cot crying for his mummy.saw it when i was pregnant and it made me cry!!

I love the Lynx adverts esp the one when it looks like they're on a crowded tube train and when the camera pans back, the train is empty and the woman just wanted to snuggle up to the bloke.
I like all the Halifax ones as they're usually to good songs.
Hate all the loan, care insurance compensation, Asda, cat food (it looks like you cooked it yourself) and the walls mad dog one.
Probably hate most of them.

I like that mobile phone one where they ask "how long have you got?",

Like the Egg ones - don't think they show them anymore - "If you don't look after your money, who will???"

also hate loan company ads (although ds has memorised the Debt Free Direct one Blush.

also hate French car ads - they always seem so sexist.

I love the Honda ads,
the Anchor cows ( just waiting for someone to tell me that they are gender-confused),
the coloured ball ad(Bravia I think)
and the First Direct ad when he's asked if he's been at the window-'YES Yes I have!!!'It makes me chuckle.

I hate any loan ads(remind me I have no money why don't you!)
Ringtone ads-they are all the same tunes by different companies

They are always doing that though, cutting beats out of bars. They did it with the [Halifax?] 'We Are Sailing' ad too. Drove me nuts.

I like the one where the couple have been on their honeymoon for 15yrs in Jamaica they went all pale and straight-laced and come back brown and chilled "touch me"!Grin

I love the Haribo ones, especially the one in the airport- makes me laugh evey time! Agree with flutterbee about the nauseating bloke in the ad with the camcorder. Also can't bear Dervla Kerwin's voice on the M&S food ads, think she sounds pervy!

I love the triple velvet ones because the little lads face is my nephews. He filmed still shots when he was 15 months old, his face also appears on the packets. the computer generated thing makess him look a little weird but hey I love it.

hate the advert where the man drives up a hill with awoman in the front and when they get to the top the over man is drivu=ing wtf is that about.
alos hate the one where the little boy pours milk on his cereal and fish come out,,, why doesn't his mum get of the phone and talk to him

I hate the Zafira Ad with the kids.... Angry I really want to punch the tv when it comes on. I did get a Zafira but not because of those ads!!

Love the chicago toen pizza ad 'mum I like thin and crisp' and the mother come with a mallet and batters the pizza.

hate that one where the woman pours food in her handbag,to represent being constipated and carrying your food around with you!hate it soooo much!!!
also hate that ad where the kid pours fish on his cereals.hate the thought of fish oil in milk,makes me feel sick!!!!

oh yeah and i love those NUTS magazine ads 'Women, Don't ask for help on a Friday' or something. So clever. Must be so proud of themselves in that agency.

I like the beer one just now (can't remember which, shows how much I notice!!) where he gets on his bike to go to the shop and freewheels downhill and then freewheels all the way home downhill!! I don't think he bought enough beers though, looks like only one each which is no use to anyone. Shock

I hate the Honda ads with a passion - especially this newish one with the choir singing the car noises. It's the only ad where I actually change channel.

I quite like the Strongbow ads (where the arrow goes through annoying things like an annoying phone ring etc.). I also like the colourful bouncing balls - makes me feel all calm.

oh its got to be the picture ad. "my bf is going to apply for a loan...what shall i do? thinks...thinks...oh yes, i know...i'll camcord it...fantasic idea...it will be soooooo interesting for future viewing" gggggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyeaaaach. makes me want to slap that man..."i'm talking to mike at picture" cheesy grin. "nah, nah...bitta rain neva hurt anyone". {homer simpson-like shudder}
