I want to get a child seat for my mountain bike to take my dd out with us. We go off road a bit but not very rough terrain. She's almost 1, but quite big for her age. There seem to be so many to choose from, what do you recommend and what should we be looking for?

Come and join us on this thread. I think Chapsmum is the best to recommend a child seat.

i have been researching this and have finally decided on the co-pilot limo!

it is expensive, but i have seen a few on ebay go for about half the price and am bidding on one atm!

that's the one we have starlover, dd1 has been really comfortable in it ( have used it for 3 years) she's too bign now for it so dd2 inherits it
hopefully dd1 will learn to ride her bike without stabilizers soon ( wishful thinking??) so dh can take both girls out biking

ahh nice to hear some more positive things about it!

if you search on ebay littleb, also try rhode gear as that's what it used to be called before changing name to co pilot!
